Led by the co-authors of 'Practical Mediation' - Jonathan Dingle FRSA and John Sephton, a leading Workplace and Employment Mediator, Coach and Employment Expert this is an outstanding course for those who have already passed their foundation week of training. With more than 40 years experience of mediating, Jonathan and John's feedback is outstanding and the learning (appropriately) both practical and intellectually rigorous taking into account the new WFH/COVID era. The aim of these two days is to provide delegates with the ability to mediate workplace, employment, and related conflicts with skill and confidence. The course also looks at discrimination, abuse, bullying, and harassment. It is offered as delivered to the NHS and other government agencies and is thus especially useful to those workign in this area. The course is recognised for CMC Workplace Mediation registration.
The leaders provide an insight into the changing workplace, conflict and its causes; they consider the workplace relationships; stakeholders; grievance and disciplinary measures; timing and engagement; pre-meetings; dealing with deep emotion and the boundaries of confidentiality. The course allows mediators to move into the wider range of work that is available with organisations including the NHS, armed services, and local government.
This fascinating course also provides guidance on moving to the transformative; identifying the pathway to progress, encouraging a durable and sustainable future; mediator follow-up, the role of coaching; workplace or employment mediation; settlement and compromise agreements.
The leaders will cover a wide range of issues including human rights, idle gossip, loss of operational time, behaviours, unwanted attention, gender issues, diversity, trust, unwilling or reluctant participants, - and solutioneering and health and safety matters.
